Oliver Hawk Jr.
Oliver Perry Hawk Jr., 68, of Sarver, passed away on Oct. 25, 2022, at his home.
Born Dec. 18, 1953, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of the late Oliver P. Hawk Sr. and Carrie McDermott Hawk.
Ollie worked at Castle Rubber Company in East Butler for 30 years. He also worked at II-VI Inc./Kromeck in Saxonburg/Zelienople, from where he retired after 15 years.
He was a member of the Buffalo Presbyterian Church and the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company and was a Buffalo Township emergency management coordinator. Ollie was also the fund drive solicitor for 32 years.
Ollie enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Steelers fan. He was a member of the Lernerville Fire Crew, and he assisted with the 50/50 raffle for 40 years.
Surviving are his loving wife, Nancy Gulish Hawk, whom he married June 27, 1981; his son, Jason (Benjamin Boroway) Hawk of Parma, Ohio; his daughter, Jennifer (Travis Johnson) Hawk of Akron, Ohio; his brothers, Terry Hawk of New Bethlehem, and Mark (Beth) Hawk of Sarver; and his sister, Cindy (Tom) Baron of Sarver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Hawk.
HAWK — Friends of Oliver Perry Hawk Jr., who died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Buffalo Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jean Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in Buffalo Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
