Keith Laidlaw, 79, of Butler, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022.

Born Sept. 15, 1943, in Freeport, he was the son of the late Clifford E. and Della (Kettering) Laidlaw.

Keith was a graduate of Freeport High School and went on to attend and graduate from Grove City College with a degree in mechanical engineering. He owned and operated the Keith Laidlaw Allstate Insurance Agency for over 25 years.

He was a member of the Butler Elks Lodge, BPOE 170 and was a member of the Butler Masonic Lodge. He was active in coaching for decades, having coached thousands of kids in basketball, baseball and soccer. He loved watching his sons play sports and was especially proud of his involvement with Butler Soccer and the Pittsburgh Strikers 75/76 Team. He enjoyed watching Penn State football and hosting parties at his river house with his family and friends.

Keith is survived by his three sons, Patrick Laidlaw of Salt Lake City, Utah, Daniel (Renee) Laidlaw of Butler and Ryan (Rachell) Laidlaw of Butler; and five grandchildren, Mackenzie Laidlaw, Bodie Laidlaw, Colin Laidlaw, Chloe Laidlaw and Liam Fleeger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy Bouchat, and Bettyann Laidlaw, his good friend and mother of his three children.

Keith’s family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to his many caretakers, especially Rachell Laidlaw, and his best friends Dale Yurga and John Kunkle.

LAIDLAW — All are invited to attend a visitation for Keith Laidlaw, who died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Interment will be made privately at Greenlawn Burial Estates.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Keith’s honor to the Parkinson Foundation of Western PA, 575 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202.
