Dennis Hasenflu
Dennis M. Hasenflu, 70, of Valencia, passed away on Friday evening, Oct. 21, 2022, at AHN Wexford Hospital.
Born in Alexandria, Va., on Jan. 4, 1952, he was the son of Jayne Hall Hasenflu and the late James “Nick” Hasenflu Jr.
Dennis graduated with a bachelor of science degree in criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and with a master’s degree in criminology from Slippery Rock University. He was a probation officer for Butler County.
A member of the NRA, he was an instructor for them and also was qualified to teach firearms in the state of Pennsylvania for law enforcement.
He was a member of Crestview Community Church, where he was an elder and deacon.
Dennis loved hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his mother, Jayne Hall Hasenflu of Kernersville, N.C.; two brothers, David Hasenflu in South Carolina and Christopher Hasenflu (Diane) of New Sewickley Township; a sister, Diane Nesbitt (Steve) of Kernersville, N.C.; and nieces and nephews.
HASENFLU — Friends of Dennis M. Hasenflu, who died Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, will be received from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Crestview Community Church, 210 Kline Ave., Callery, Pa. Services will follow at 7:30 p.m with the Rev. Gregg Hartung officiating.
Burial will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.
