BC3 volleyball wins Region 20 title

BUTLER TWP — Knoch graduate Morgan Jack was named tournament MVP Saturday as the Butler County Community College women’s volleyball team swept a pair of matches to win the Region 20 championship.

The top-seeded Pioneers (19-2) defeated Anne Arundel and Howard by 3-0 scores.

Jack had 32 assists and five aces in the 25-17, 26-24, 25-11 win over Anne Arundel. Breanna Reisinger had 16 kills, Aslyn Pry 10 kills and Madison Raypush 19 digs.

Third-seeded Howard defeated Westmoreland, 3-0, in the other semifinal. BC3 then eliminated Howard in the title match with a 25-21, 25-11, 25-21 victory. Jack had 36 assists, Pry 17 kills, Reisinger 11 kills and 13 digs, Raypush 18 digs.

Reisinger, Pry and Raypush all joined Jack on the Region 20 All-Tournament team.

The Pioneers advance to the NJCAA Mid-Atlantic District Tournament, slated for this Saturday at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, N.C.
