The Boyers/Harrisville Satellite Rotary Club is sponsoring Pooches on Parade on Oct. 29 at 12:30 p.m. at Harrisville Community Park.

The event encourages creativity. People can bring their dogs to the parade, to support the cause. There will be prizes, and adoptable animals from the Butler County Humane Society will be attending the parade.

Proceeds go to community enrichments, including a permanent cornhole game setup in the park, and the humane society.

The entry fee is $5 in advance or $10 at the door. Checks can be made out to Slippery Rock Rotary, with the word “parade” in the memo line, and include a name, address, phone number, email address and the name of the dog. Checks can be mailed to Slippery Rock Rotary, Box 505, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.
