Gary Charles Minehart Sr. of Ocala, Fla., passed away on Oct. 10, 2022, after suffering a stroke. His wife of 28 years, Nancy (Hawks), was by his side.

Gary was born on Dec. 3, 1936.

Gary was employed at Armco Steel, now AK Steel, for 38 years until he retired to Florida.

He enjoyed golfing, going to the beach, and sitting on his back porch.

Gary is survived by Terri Minehart-Doerflein and Joe of Indiana; and Gary Jr. (Rip) and Chris, Penny Barkley and John, all of Butler.

He is also survived by six grandchildren, Rachel, Josh, Jakob, Melanie, Kristan and Kelsey; and four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Campbell, Delaney and Bella.

He was the stepfather to Tracey Leighton and Mike, Lisa Thomas and Brian, all of North Carolina; and Tom Pfeifer and Jen of Zelienople. He also leaves behind his eight stepgrandchildren.

MINEHART — Per his last wishes, there will be no visitation for Gary Charles Minehart Sr., who died Monday, Oct. 10, 2022.
