The Penn State Extension is holding a free webinar on municipal and community tree management from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 26.

The webinar, “Advice From the Community Forest: Ask the Experts,” is for municipal officials, shade tree commissioners, urban foresters, municipal arborists, landscape architects, community planners, volunteer tree tenders and community tree advocates.

The program will focus on urban and community forestry issues, tree equity and management strategies from across the commonwealth. A panel from the extension and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Bureau of Forestry will answer questions from participants, who can submit questions online via a survey link that will be provided after registration.

The event is free, but participants must register by 7:45 p.m. Oct. 25. Participants will receive access to the webinar recording. Registration is available at extension.psu.edu/community-forest-advice.
