Clara E. Harbison, 98, of Cabot, passed away on Oct. 9, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Dec. 21, 1923, in Brackenridge, she was the daughter of Raymond Huston and Sara Seibert Huston.

Clara was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

She was a member of the Cabot United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed ceramics, bowling, painting and bingo.

Surviving are six of her seven children, Sheran Laidlaw of South Carolina, Marilyn Altman of Cabot, Gary (Lynn) Harbison of Saxonburg, Bruce (Chelle) Harbison of Butler, Gail (Roger) Tebay of Cabot, and Janice (Dexter) Schnell of Butler; her daughter-in-law, Joanne (Jeff) Stewart of Butler; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert J. Harbison, who passed away on Jan. 10, 1977; three sisters, Frances Geiser, Marjory Blackburn and Myrna Huston; her brother, William Huston; one son, Lynn Harbison; and two sons-in-law, James Laidlaw Sr. and Gary Altman.

HARBISON — Friends of Clara E. Harbison, who died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Jared Townley officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
