Garnet T. Stephenson, 85, of Harrisville, passed away on Oct. 2, 2022, at Autumn Grove Care Center.

She was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Camden, N.J., and was the daughter of the late Gilbert G. Henricks and the late Garnet T. Murphy.

Garnet was a life member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church until moving to Tampa, Fla., in 1984. In Tampa, she was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church until May of 1999. When Garnet moved back to Pennsylvania, she went to St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot. Around 2005, Garnet started to attend All Saints Lutheran Church in Slippery Rock.

Garnet was a homemaker, and was known for taking care of her family and baking pies.

Garnet is survived by her husband, M. Kenneth Stephenson, whom she married on Sept. 3, 1959; one daughter, Melanie Petridis of Slippery Rock; one son, Todd Stephenson of Slippery Rock; two grandsons, Alex Petridis and Kostas Petridis; one sister, Phyllis Sturgeon of Waterville, Ohio; and two nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, George Petridis.

STEPHENSON — Arrangements for Garnet T. Stephenson, who died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, are under the direction of THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, Butler.

Burial will take place in North Side Cemetery, Butler.
