Raymond J. Stuart, 91, of Butler, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, while residing at Quality Life Services in Grove City.

He was born June 11, 1931, in Roxboro, N.C., and was a son of the late McKinley Stuart and Mabel (Martin) Stuart.

He had previously work at MSA.

He had been a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Butler.

He enjoyed working in the yard, working on cars and fixing things around the house. Also, he loved ham sandwiches from Henry’s Market in Harrisville. He was known to have his strong opinion on things, which always made him correct.

Surviving is his son, Jeffrey (Heidi) Stuart of Butler; one daughter, Sandi Martinez of Butler; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Ross Stuart of Virginia; and five sisters, Pearl Davidson, Yvonne Forsythe, Kathy (Bob) Sauers and Linda (Bill) Eckman, all of Pennsylvania, and Joyce Custalow of Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann (Newcomb) Stuart, who passed away May 17, 2006; a daughter, Marlou Chassereau; and a brother, Brice Stewart.

STUART — Friends of Raymond J. Stuart, who died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Burial will take place in Harrisville Prairie Cemetery.
