James

Nelson R. James, 85, of Renfrew, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 2, 2022, at his residence with family by his side.

Born in Renfrew on Jan. 4, 1937, he was the son of the late Richard P. and Rupertine Muhla James.

He attended Victory Family Church in Cranberry Township.

Nelson retired from Armco as a rigger with 39 years of service.

He enjoyed mowing grass, and counting cars while sitting on his porch. He also enjoyed golfing and traveling to Hudson, Fla., for the winter. Above all, he loved his family and will forever be in our hearts.

Nelson is survived by one daughter, Linda (John III) Reichart of Butler; two sons, Leroy (Pam) James of Meridian and Larry (Laurie) James of Level Green, Pa.; one brother, Walter (Kathy) James of California; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Turner James, who passed away on July 13, 2021; one sister; and three brothers.

JAMES — Friends of Nelson R. James, who died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 328 W. Main St., Evans City.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Jeff MacKay officiating.

He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Brownsdale Cemetery.

The family has suggests memorial donations be made to Cornerstone TV, 1 Signal Hill Drive, Wall, PA 15148; or Victory Family Church/Kingdom Builders, 21150 Route 19, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
