Steve Cicero will present “Highway to History — Route 8” at the Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKean St., at 6 p.m. Sept 13.

Beginning near Pittsburgh and winding its way 150 miles north to Erie, Route 8 passes near an amazing number of historic sites from prehistoric glaciers to space age storage vaults.

Cicero is a former history instructor in the Butler Area School District. He is active with a number of historical organizations as a part-time teacher or volunteer.
