BC3 volleyball tastes 1st loss

Morgan Jack had 46 assists, Breanna Reisinger 15 kills and 20 digs for Butler County Community College in the Pioneers’ 3-2 women’s volleyball loss recently at Penn State Greater Allegheny.

Match scores were 18-25, 19-25, 25-20, 205-13, 16-18.

Aslyn Pry had 16 kills, Madison Raypush 34 digs and Abby Granato 10 kills for the Pioneers (2-0, 4-1).

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Blue Ivy, trained by Bill Bercury and owned by Renee Bercury of Slippery Rock, got credit for a tie in a photo-finish of Thursday’s $17,600 Filly & Mare Open Handicap Pace during harness racing action at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Blue Ivy has a career bankroll of $638,550.

Elsewhere on the card, trainer Bob Krenitsky, Jr., and owner Julie Krenitsky, both of Butler, triumphed with Adelia Hanover in an $8,200 Conditioned Pace. It was the 4-year-old mare’s first won in 42 career starts.
