Patricia Kripowicz, of Silver Spring, Md., passed away on Aug. 21, 2022, after a long battle with dementia.

She was born on Dec. 29, 1940.

She will be remembered as a devoted parent, teacher and grandparent. Were she alive today, she would likely be browsing through a thrift store, looking for a lost treasure; enjoying a cup of tea as she read her latest literary find; or telling a story as only she could. Even under tragic sicknesses, her demeanor remained bright and positive.

She is survived by her four children, Katherine, Robert, Scott and Brian; and nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Lisa, Ashley, Katie, Thomas, Anja, Annika and Casimir.
