Marion Sankovic

Sankovic

Marion Louise Sankovic, 94, of Zelienople, passed away on Aug. 25, 2022.

She was born in Midland, Ontario, on Dec. 20, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Phyllis (Campbell) and Milton Standbrook.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edward Sankovic; as well as two sisters, Doris (Durward) Greenwood and Janet Marshall.

A friend to all and an enemy of none, she had a unique ability to spread warmth and laughter wherever she went. When she wasn’t spreading sunshine, she enjoyed golf, entertaining and finding a bargain, and she was an excellent card player! She also had a love for antiques and put this passion to work, as she and Ed were the proprietors of Olde Attic Antiques in Zelienople for many years.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters, Sandra (Andrew) Granger of Tallahassee, Fla., Roxanne Nordquist of Orlando, Fla., and Marsha Brennessel of Columbia, S.C.; as well as two granddaughters, Jessica and Sarah Granger.
