Alan Schiebel
Alan F. Schiebel passed away on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at the VA Pittsburgh, H.J. Heinz Campus at the age of 74.
He was the son of the late Kenneth and Loretta Cypher Schiebel. He was the sixth son of a family of eight boys and one girl.
He was a proud American soldier, who served for 35 years with the U.S. Army, retiring in 2004.
Alan was a good man and was liked and loved by all. He was always there to offer a helping hand. He loved his TV, playing cards and being with family. He loved going to McDonald's every morning after he retired and having breakfast and coffee with his mother-in-law and father-in-law and friends. He was a good, honest and simple man, and will be deeply missed. His earthly life may be over, but his heavenly life will begin, and he will be in the arms of his daughter, Alaina, and many loved ones who preceded him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Richard, George, Kenneth and John Schiebel; his daughter, Alaina, who will greet him with arms open wide; and his loving mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jacqueline J. and Donald P. Hughes.
He was a loving husband for 45 years to Joyce E. (Hughes) Schiebel; a loving daddy to Jacqueline J. (Schiebel) Hazlett and her husband, Jason; and the proud and loving pappy to his adored only grandchild, Emma L. Hazlett. He also is survived by his sister and brothers, Joan Miller, Roy (Gerry) Schiebel and Neal Schiebel.
