Czubiak

Michael D. “Mike” Czubiak Sr., 79, of Hilliards, passed away the evening of Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 18, 1942, in Uniontown, Mike was the son of the late Michael Czubiak and the late Bessie L. (Roth) Czubiak.

Mike retired as a slitterman from ARMCO Steel in 1999, after working there for 30 years.

Mike enjoyed being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time at camp with his friends and family.

Mike also enjoyed working on his hot rods and going to car shows.

He enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Ashton, participate in her many athletic events.

Mike is survived by his wife, Mary “Betty” E. Dillaman; two children, Michael D. (Kristen) Czubiak Jr. of New Castle, and Danielle (Jason) Huff of Butler; three grandchildren, Ashton, Hayden and Rhiannon; and a sister, DeVona (Fred) Schumann of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

CZUBIAK — Services and interment for Michael D. “Mike” Czubiak Sr., who died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, were held privately in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, West Sunbury.
