George Latkey
George J. Latkey, 82, of Saxonburg, passed away on Aug. 19, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 9, 1940, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of George R. Latkey and Anna V. Motosicke Latkey.
George served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
He had worked as an engineer for Alcoa.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Joseph Church in Cabot.
George was an avid Steelers fan, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his son, George G. Latkey of Ohio; his daughter, Valerie (Christopher) McGee of Evans City; his grandchildren, Riley, Carter and Myla McGee, and Henry and Harper Latkey; two sisters, Susan (Robert) Gerdeman of Cloverdale, Ohio, and Jeanne (Richard) Atkinson of Natrona Heights; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Susan Lynn Latkey, who passed away on Jan. 15, 2021.
LATKEY — Friends of George J. Latkey, who died Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday with services to follow at 11 a.m at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
