Stephen M. Pozar, R.A., 79, of Lawrenceville and Butler, died peacefully on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022.

Steve graduated from Central Catholic High School with the Class of 1960, and later from Carnegie Tech University, School of Architecture. Steve proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a Registered Architect for Howard, Burt and Hill Architects in Butler and retired as a principal of the firm. Steve co-authored two books on the pictorial history of Butler and authored two books titled “Main Street Butler: an Album” and “Richard Butler, Patriot.”

He was the beloved son of the late Stephen and Helen (Kaczynski) Pozar; and loving brother of Dorothy J. Pozar.

A special thanks to Nurse Sarah and the entire staff of Family Hospice at Canterbury Place for the kindness and care they gave to Steve.

POZAR — Family and friends of Stephen M. Pozar, who died Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, are welcomed from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th St., Lawrenceville. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
