Kaltwasser

Janet S. Kaltwasser, 87, of Cabot, formerly of Sarver, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022.

Janet was born in Sarver on Nov. 25, 1934, a daughter of the late Marjorie (Gravatt) and Christie C. Sell. She had lived in Buffalo Township for 62 years. Janet graduated from Freeport Area High School in 1952 and Butler Memorial School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1955. She enjoyed nursing in many fields and was the director of the Freeport Meals on Wheels for many years. Janet was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport, where she taught Sunday school, was on church council and directed the bell and chime choir for many years. She also enjoyed playing cards, quilting, sewing and doing handicrafts. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a friend to everyone she met.

Janet is survived by her husband of 67 years, C. Ted Kaltwasser; her children, Lynn (Sharon) Kaltwasser, Deborah (Larry) Mort, and David (Marissa) Kaltwasser; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Christie Dean Sell.

KALTWASSER — Family and friends of Janet S. Kaltwasser, who died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, 524 High St., Freeport.

Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Eric Damon officiating.

Burial will be held in Butler County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 323 Fifth St., Freeport.
