Disc golf tourney to benefit bed-makers
A Mars-based chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace is hosting a disc golf tournament Sept. 24 at the North Boundary Disc Golf Course.
The nonprofit, which operates entirely on donations, makes beds for children ages 3 through 17 in Butler, eastern Beaver and northern Allegheny counties who don’t have a bed to sleep in.
Registration for the event costs $50 and will include door prizes, and the tournament begins at 8 a.m. All proceeds from the event go toward Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
