Boris

Mary Jane (Fleck) Boris, 75, of Buffalo Township, formerly of West Deer, died Friday, July 22, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born Oct. 2, 1946, in North Hills, and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Margaret (Stritzinger) Fleck. She had lived in Buffalo Township for the past 52 years, and before that lived in West Deer.

She was a 1965 graduate of West Deer High School, and was a former member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Victor Church and the Red Hat Society in Sarver.

She worked for the Freeport Area School District as a cafeteria worker for more than 10 years, and then for O’Berg Industries as a production worker until she retired.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and going to camp. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, John A. Boris Sr.; her children, John A. (Kimberly) Boris of Annapolis, Md., James A. (Stacie) Boris of Butler and Jerry A. (Crystal) Boris of Renfrew; her grandchildren, Jacob, Bobby, Jessica, Alexandra, Skyler, Logan and Ridgely; and her siblings, Margie Aymar of Driggs, Idaho, Ruth Fleck of West Deer, Fred (Sandy) Fleck of Lakewood, Colo., and Jeanne (Kevin) Mahoney of Glenwood, N.Y.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward L. Fleck, who passed away on Feb. 16, 2015.

BORIS — The family of Mary Jane (Fleck) Boris, who died Friday, July 22, 2022, received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where parting prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

A Catholic funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Victor Roman Catholic Church, Bairdford. She will be privately laid to rest following the Mass.
