Mineo

Carol M. Mineo, 79, of Portersville, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital.

Carol was born Jan. 26, 1943, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Gerald and Violet (Webb) Fleeger.

She was a 1960 graduate of Moniteau High School.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and family gatherings. Carol was a homemaker, who enjoyed her dogs, taking care of her house and garden and driving her Jeep.

Carol was a Christian.

Carol had held various employment positions, including as a heavy equipment operator. She had been retired for several years.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her husband, Salvatore Samuel Mineo of Portersville; a daughter, Alysia (Keith Brown) McCloskey of Butler; a son, Vincent (Laura) Etzel of New Jersey; her stepchildren, Rick (Tracey) Mineo of Portersville and Deanna (Jeff) Bonomo of Beaver Falls; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her sisters, Kay (Robert) McLafferty of Butler and Joyce (Rick) Eckman of Vermont; her brothers, Dennis (Regina) Fleeger of Butler and Dale Fleeger of Texas; a brother-in-law, Michael (Bonnie) Mineo of Galveston, Texas; her sister-in-law, Donna (Kenneth) Fenchel of South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the UPMC Cancer Center in Butler and Allegheny General Hospital for the loving care of Carol.

MINEO — Friends of Carol M. Mineo, who died Wednesday, July 20, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Phillips of St. Mark's Lutheran Church officiating.

Interment will be held in North Cemetery.
