William “Bim” Slater, 61, of North Washington, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born June 7, 1961, in Butler, Bim was the son of Robert P. Slater and the late Sally A. (Klink) Slater.

Bim retired from Indspec Chemical in Petrolia. He was well-known as the owner and operator of Bim’s Boloney Deer Processing for many years.

Bim loved to go fishing and camping in Erie, and he loved to cook.

Bim is survived by his father, Bob Slater; two sons, Zac Slater and Zane Slater (Leslie Fisher), all of Petrolia; three sisters, Michele (Steve) Dymond of Maryland, Kim (Chuck) Buck of Chicora and Kris (Jim) Zarnick of Karns City; three nieces; and three nephews.

Bim was preceded in death by his mother, Sally; and his nephew, Briggs Buck.

SLATER — Family and friends of William “Bim” Slater, who died Monday, July 18, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

Private funeral services will be held Friday.

Burial will be held in Concord Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Bim may be sent to the Moniteau Youth Baseball and Softball Association, P.O. Box 94, West Sunbury, PA 16061.
