It takes a lot of green to prepare and deliver 16,000 meals to local elderly and disadvantaged individuals each year, but golfers can help South Butler County Meals-on-Wheels stay in the swing of things on Aug. 1.

The South Butler County Meals-on-Wheels Golf Outing remains in need of golfers and sponsors, according to a news release from the organization.

The golf outing is the non-profit organization’s only fundraiser in 2022.

Golfers will play a best ball scramble at Conley Resort on Pittsburgh Road in Penn Township starting at 9 a.m.

Foursomes are $400, which includes 18 holes with a cart, hot dogs at the turn, lunch and an opportunity to win door prizes.

Teams placing first, second and third will win $400, $240 and $100, respectively.

Putting and chipping challenges will be held at designated holes for those who choose to participate.

Golfers of any skill level are invited to participate in the outing by registering at SBCMOW on Facebook or calling 724-898-0080.

Non-golfers can become $100 bronze sponsors, $250 silver sponsors, $1,000 gold sponsors, or donate any financial amount to SBCMOW, 1091 Pittsburgh Rd., Valencia, PA, 16056.
