Jane (Evelyn) Gibson Page, 88, formerly of New Castle, passed away the morning of July 18, 2022, at St. Barnabas Nursing Home in Valencia.

Born Jan. 26, 1934, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Ralph D. and Dorothea (Sewall) Spears.

She was preceded in death on March 22, 1997, by her husband of 44 years, James Norman Gibson, whom she married on June 5, 1952. She subsequently married Thomas Page on Nov. 26, 2006, and he survives in Valencia.

A 1951 graduate of New Castle High School, Evelyn was employed with AT&T in sales until her retirement.

She was a member of the former Second United Presbyterian Church in New Castle, where she served as a deacon.

Evelyn was a member of VFW Auxiliary 92 in New Kensington.

Among her interests, she enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines, and Quartet, the Pastels.

In addition to her husband, Thomas, she is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Nathan) Kreitzer of New Castle, and Jennifer (Joel) Willetts of Pittsburgh; one stepdaughter, Diane Page of Arlington, Va.; one brother, Donald Spears of Hermitage; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James; her three brothers, Lawrence, Lloyd and Warren “Casey” Spears; one daughter, Jeanne Gibson; and two sisters, Roberta Carvella and JoAnne Borrelli.

PAGE — Visitation for Jane (Evelyn) Gibson Page, who died Monday, July 18, 2022, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at R. CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.
