Gay Stewart

Gay O. Stewart, of Butler, entered the Church Triumphant on Thursday, July 14, 2022, after a short illness.

Gay was a woman of strong faith and enjoyed volunteering at church and teaching Bethel Bible Series.

Gay graduated from Kittanning High School and Kittanning Beauty School. She also directed advertising campaigns for Armstrong Utilities, YWCA Presents Lecture Series, Intermediate League of Butler, Butler Public Library, Junior Women's Club of Butler and Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Gay lived for her grandchildren. She was their number one fan and supporter. She spent countless hours in the audience at the Butler Little Theatre, at gym meets, tennis matches and band concerts.

Gay is survived by her husband, Bill Stewart, of Butler; a son and daughter-in-law, Jud and Michelle Stewart, of Butler; a daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Mark Brestensky, of Butler; and five wonderful grandchildren.

STEWART — A celebration of life for Gay O. Stewart, who died Thursday, July 14, 2022, will be held virtually at 2 p.m. Wednesday at https://youtu.be/PI9RdJKP40U.
