Knight

William A. Knight was born Aug. 2, 1924 in Wilmerding, Pa. He passed away June 25, 2022, in Fort Myers, Fla., at the age of 97.

William is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children, William, Dawn and Jill; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark.

After a career of more than 30 years in the Pennsylvania public schools, 20 years as superintendent of schools, he retired to Fort Myers, Fla., in 1986.

William served in the European Theater of Operations during World War II in the 3rd Army. William was inducted into Masonry in 1950 and eventually became a 32nd degree Mason.
