Helen Gajewski
Helen S. Gajewski, 105, of Butler, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Born Oct. 17, 1916, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Guciak) Yankowski.
Helen was a homemaker and was well-known for her homemade apple pies. She won the best apple pie award at the Butler Farm Show in 2007. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving is her son, John T. Gajewski, and her daughter, Bernice (Paul) Thoma, both of Butler; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard E. Gajewski, whom she married on June 20, 1937, and who passed away April 11, 2008; five brothers; and one sister.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Butler. Please meet at the church.
