Eleanor Olmsted
Eleanor B. Olmsted, 91, formerly of Butler, passed away June 10, 2022, at Wellmore of Daniel Island in Charleston, S.C.
She was born March 21, 1931, in Butler, and was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Fetzko) Blasko.
Following high school graduation in 1949, she worked for Heckett Engineering and then Magnetics.
On March 6, 1961, she married Robert W Olmsted. She spent the rest of her life as a wife and mother.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad (Fidelis) in Butler.
She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening and traveling with her husband.
Surviving is her son, Robert (Kathy) Olmsted of Chanhassen, Minn.; her two daughters, Elizabeth (Alan) Davis of Missouri City, Texas, and Mary (Robert) Pokrzywa of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and her grandchildren, Robert Olmsted of Atlanta., Mathew and Douglas Olmsted, both of Chanhassen, Minn., Eleanor Davis of Missouri City, Texas, Joanne Pokrzywa of Atlanta; and Julia Pokrzywa of Pittsburgh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Olmsted; her brother, Joseph Blasko; and her sisters, Irma Laborie, Marth Vavro and Joanne Blasko.
OLMSTED — Friends of Eleanor B. Olmsted, who died Friday, June 10, 2022, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
