Steven R. Huff, 79, of Butler, passed away Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022, at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.

Born Feb. 20, 1943, in Rochester, Pa., he was a son of the late Robert A. Huff and Eleanor “Pat” (Mangel) Huff.

Steven was a 1961 graduate of Knoch High School, and then went to Texas A&M to be a heavy equipment repair technician. He was the owner and operator of Huff Equipment Repair, which he established in 1975.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, from 1962 until 1965. He had lived abroad from 1967 to 1973 in Bahrain and Canary Islands, while working on oil rigs in the Middle East.

He was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

He had enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren teaching them his skill and trade.

Surviving are his wife, Jacquelyn A. (Zacherl) Huff, whom he married Oct. 24, 1964; his children, Brenda (Ron) Hartzel of Butler, Rebecca (Norman) Traggiai of Sarver, Brian (Brandy) Huff of Butler, and Bruce (Sandra) Huff of Butler; his grandchildren, Anita, Coleen (David), Matthew, Monica (Travis), Elizabeth (Calen), Garrett, Owen, Reilly and Charlotte; and his siblings, Lance “Ike” Huff of Tennessee, Sherry (Alan) Bayer of North Carolina, and Randy (Faye) Huff of Mississippi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Barry A. Huff, who passed away Aug. 3, 2021.

HUFF — Friends of Steven R. Huff, who died Tuesday, June 7, 2022, will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler. The Rev. Kevin Fazio, pastor will officiate.

Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery.
