SR library T-shirt fundraiser to bolster budget
Slippery Rock Community Library is branching out with new fundraising efforts this year, one of those being a T-shirt sale.
The shirts feature two designs with the library logo, created by Slippery Rock University students.
According to Tiffany Frampton, library director, the library has seen a decrease in donations this year.
“I’m sure it has to do with inflation and the economy right now,” she said. “Seventy-five percent of our budget comes from donations, so it is so important we do these things so we can keep our doors open.”
Frampton said the designs on the T-shirts were created by SRU students who helped the library rebrand a few years ago.
“We haven’t done something like this in recent times,” she said of the fundraiser. “We thought (the shirts) would be a good way to get our logo out there.”
The goal is to sell 50 shirts by June 17.
Shirts are available for $24.99 or $27.99 at the library’s website, https://www.slipperyrocklibrary.org/donate.
