Zieg to be interim provost until end of 2023 academic year

Slippery Rock University president William Behre appointed Michael Zieg as interim provost on Thursday.
Zieg will serve as interim provost through the 2022-23 academic year, according to a news release from the university.
Zieg, former associate provost for academic finance, strategic initiatives and assessment, was named acting provost April 4.
He replaced the previous provost, Abbey Zink, who had held the provost position starting in late 2019.
As interim provost, Zieg is responsible for maintaining the academic vision of the university. All academic colleges, departments and programs report to the provost, who is responsible for all academic policies.
