Scott Crighton

Scott A. Crighton, 56, of Clinton Township, passed away at home Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

He was born May 2, 1966, the son to the late Grace Ann (Gillespie) Crighton and George Crighton Jr. of Massachusetts.

He graduated from Knoch High School in 1984 and earned an engineering degree from the Pennsylvania State University. He lived his adult life in Saxonburg and worked as a commercial bus and truck driver, driving nationwide when younger and enjoying the places it took him. He was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed woodworking, camping, hiking, gardening and attending truck and steam equipment shows. Scott was a lifetime member of Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company and also had served as a volunteer ambulance driver for a number of years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge.

In addition to his father, survivors include an uncle, James Crighton, of Prospect; and several cousins.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by an aunt, Violet R. Galey, in 2013.

CRIGHTON — Visitation for Scott A. Crighton, who died Tuesday, May 10, 2022, will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME, 347 E 10th Ave., Tarentum, with the Rev. Gregory L. Spencer officiating.

Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge.

Memorial donations are suggested to Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Co.
