Marian Brandon, 92, of Slippery Rock, passed away at Transitions Healthcare (Autumn Grove) in Harrisville, on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

She was born May 1, 1930, in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County, the daughter of Clair Burton Hefferman and Alice Hazel Emery Hefferman.

Marian attended elementary school in Grove City and high school in Slippery Rock. She was an avid learner and took many classes at night. She attended Butler Community College, Mercer Vo-Tech and nurses training at Grove City Hospital.

She worked as a waitress, bookkeeper, secretary, retail sales clerk and nurse. She worked in many positions in the area and many county offices under the senior aid program. Marian worked and studied in preventative health care and served 30 years on the election board. She loved golfing, reading and most of raising her four children.

Marian is survived by her daughter, Tracy L. Brandon, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; two sons, William Dean Brandon (and partner Jamie Graham) and James Emery Brandon (and wife Debbie); granddaughter, Miranda May; and sister, Susan Haynes of Edina, Minn.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas Leroy Brandon; grandson, Sean Brandon; sister, Eleanore McDeavitt Batykefer; and three brothers, John, Eugene, and Raymond W.

BRANDON — There will be no public viewing or funeral services for Marian Brandon, who died Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Memorial contributions may made to Slippery Rock Fire and Rescue, PO Box 117, Slippery Rock, PA.
