On May 21, 1969, Eric Foster, left, was the first child to have their bicycle inspected by Butler police chief Samuel Lasky, right, for the year’s annual program.
The bicycle inspection program was co-sponsored by the Butler Optimist Club, which is represented by Butler city councilman and Boys Work chairman Guy A. Travaglio Jr., center, and the VFW.
