Kathy Przyborowski
Kathy Przyborowski (Wilma Kathleen Pontious) passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Pittsburgh, June 9, 1955, and was the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Dale) Pontious, and grew up in Kittanning.
After graduating from Kittanning High School in 1973, Kathy moved to New Jersey and started a long and successful career at Subaru of America Inc. in Camden, N.J., where she managed the national parts system before her retirement in 2019. Kathy recently had relocated to Saxonburg.
Kathy blessed many with her love, generosity and zest for life. Always the life of the party and ready to befriend all she met, Kathy married her soulmate, the late Hank Przyborowski, in 1989, and settled in Glassboro, N.J. They loved the beach and spent many happy times on the Jersey Shore and at Emerald Isle, N.C. She adored her dogs, Cyd and Blaze, and cat, Calvin.
Kathy will be remembered by all for her nonstop conversation and infectious laugh. She deeply loved her friends and family from Kittanning and from New Jersey, and will be greatly missed.
Kathy is survived by her sisters, Deborah Blose of Saxonburg, Karen Gunderson (Ken) of Lancaster, Pa., Carol Pontious of Kittanning and Davida van Mook (Gary) of Saxonburg; her sister-in-law, Julia Przyborowski of Philadelphia; her nieces, Louise van Mook and Julia van Mook; her nephews, John Hribovski (Geri), Tucker Blose (Michelle), William Gunderson (Julie), Stephen Gunderson (Lindsey) and Alexander van Mook; her great-nieces and great-nephews; and her dear friends, Rita and Roland Piccioni, and their family.
PRZYBOROWSKI — The spirit, joy and talents of Kathy Przyborowski (Wilma Kathleen Pontious), who died Tuesday, April 26, 2022, will be celebrated at a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
