Billy C. Gray
Billy C. Gray, 79, of Saxonburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the VA Butler Health Care Community Living Center.
Born Feb. 14, 1943, in Lawrenceville, Ill., he was the son of the late William B. Gray and Nigel Bernice Cozart Gray.
Bill was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in Vietnam.
He retired as the director of operations from BurgerChef/Rax after 20+ years of service. He owned two bars, The Corner Tavern in East Liverpool, Ohio, and II Leo's in Youngstown, Ohio. Billy fully retired in 2001, and moved to Saxonburg, to be closer to his daughter. Once fully retired, Billy loved spending quality time with his daughter and grandchildren. They were the light of his life, as he was so loved and adored by them as well.
He was the president of the Lions Club and a lifetime member of the VFW. He also coached Little League Baseball. Bill was a people person, and made friends easily wherever he went. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed NASCAR, Elvis Presley and "porch sitting" with friends, family and an ice cold Bud. He loved animals and leaves behind his pups, Bella and Chip.
Surviving are his loving daughter, Stacie Tirk of Saxonburg, and three grandchildren, Derek Johnson, Justin Tirk and Cheyenne Tirk, all of Saxonburg.
GRAY — Friends of Billy C. Gray, who died Wednesday, April 27, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
Private interment with military honors will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fox Funeral Home, to help defray funeral expenses.
