Emily J. Benko, 91, of Butler, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022.

She was born in Grove City on Sept. 25, 1930, daughter of the late Dominick and Betty (Russo) White.

Emily loved cooking, baking and reading. She was known to be an amazing cook and took pride in caring for her family.

She was the mother of Richard and John Benko; grandmother of Jessica, John Ryan, Jade, Devon, Shawn, Richie, Anna, Paul and Samantha; and great-grandmother of Lenin, Deegan, Kaitlin, Brendon, Ayden, Jaizan, Ryan, Sydney, Elijah and Will. Emily also is survived by her sister-in-law, Carol, and daughter-in-law, Mary.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Edward Benko; her brothers, Richard, Joseph and Donald; and her grandchildren, Jennalee and Jaran.

BENKO — Friends of Emily J. Benko, who died Thursday, April 21, 2022, will be received on from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
