Donald D. Domhoff, 85, of Renfrew, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, while under the care of Allegheny General Hospital.

Born June 13, 1936, in Connoquenessing Township, he was the son of the late Lester P. Domhoff and Leah Burr Domhoff.

Don was a member at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler, where he served on the church council and as an usher. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War era. He is the founder and former owner of the Buttercup Campground. Don served as a Connoquenessing Township supervisor. He was a member of Syria Shrine, where he belonged to the Legion of Honor. He enjoyed hunting. Above all, Don was a man who loved the Lord and his family. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Don leaves behind his cherished wife of 65 years, Florence I. Tackett Domhoff, whom he married on April 27, 1957; his three daughters, Lynda (John) Mato, Sandy (Michael) Wright and Donna (John) McIntyre, all of Renfrew; his son-in-law, Richard Davis of Butler; his grandchildren, Michael, Elizabeth, Joshua, Melissa, Jessy and Ryan; his step-grandchildren, Mark and Laura; his great-grandchildren, Michael, Evan, Hudson, Weston and baby McIntyre; his siblings, Mary Brewster, Betty Campbell, Bonnie Marburger and Carol Shearer; and his numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a daughter, LouAnn Davis; two brothers, Lester and James Domhoff; and two sisters, Mildred Weindenhof and Edith Atkinson.

DOMHOFF — Friends of Donald D. Domhoff, who died Friday, April 22, 2022, were received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2022, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. David M. Phillips officiating. Please meet at the church.

Don will be laid to rest with military honors at Butler County Memorial Park.

Donations may be made in Don’s memory to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
