College Notes

LUKE VITTONE (Seven Fields, Eden Christian) had a double and single in Grove City’s 4-1 win over Bethany in the first game of a doubleheader. He had two hits in the Wolverines’ 7-2 win in Game 2 as well.

JESSE CLARY (Cranberry Twp., Eden Christian) had a home run and single for Grove City in the 4-1 victory.

ELIJAH WHITE (Zelienople, Portersville Christian) earned his second save of the season for Grove City by pitching three innings of relief in the second game.

GABBY KUTCHMA (Seneca Valley) won the 3,000-meter Steeplechase for Clarion on the first day of the Benson/Hodges Memorial Invitational. Her time was 11 minutes, 53.62 seconds and she broke the 12-minute mile for the first time in her career.

ABBY ROTTMAN (Moniteau) singled and scored a run for Thiel in the Tomcats’ 8-5 loss to Bethany in the second game of a softball doubleheader.

TEDDI ISHERWOOD (Butler) concluded her freshman regular season with Slippery Rock’s tennis team. She is 14-8 teaming with Gabriela del Val del Toro and is 21-5 in singles this year.

ALYSSA STITT (Karns City) singled and drove in runs in both ends of a softball doubleheader for Clarion. The Golden Eagles dropped the twinbill to Gannon, 8-5 and 9-7.

RYAN GREER (Seneca Valley) scored seven goals in Westminster’s 20-9 men’s lacrosse victory over Bethany.

STEPHANIE CIMINI (Mars) scored six goals and added an assist in the Westminster women’s lacrosse team’s 15-12 loss to Bethany.
