Elaine Phillips
Elaine Eleanora Phillips, 74, of Butler, passed away surrounded by her daughters on Thursday, April 21, 2022.
She was born Aug. 25, 1947, in Pittsburgh, and was the daughter to her late parents, Frank and Cecelia (Flis) Guenther.
She was the wife of George T. Phillips since their marriage on May 26, 1973; mother of Robert (Karen) Christine and Melissa (Matthew); grandmother of seven grandchildren, Shad (Megan), Brad (Kayla), Robert, Mike, Kylie (Colby), Nathan and Andrew; and great-grandmother of Graison and Holland. She had hopes to meet the newest great-granddaughter twins (Harley and Harper) that are due in May.
She had many talents and a huge heart. She worked for Hampton Township School District as a cook for 27 years and retired from there in 2009. For a short time, she enjoyed retirement with her husband, children, grandchildren and other family members by going on vacations and spending quality time together. However, she was not done working yet. In 2014 she started working as a bus monitor for Valley Lines in Butler. She made many friends and loved the kids and their families that she got to work with.
Elaine was an amazing woman, wife, mother, Nana and friend. No one knows why bad things happen to the best of people and we may never know. She was called home to be reunited with her parents, siblings and friends she lost along the way. She will be deeply missed but not forgotten, forever.
