Time Capsule
This photograph from the Aug. 31, 1970, edition of the Butler Eagle depicts Lt. Newton Robbins of the Butler state police barracks after the interception of several marijuana plants from a home in Valencia in 1970. Four people were arrested during the raid and placed in Butler County Prison. The article accompanying this photo asked the public to be on the lookout for plants of this type, as it was illegal to grow and possess them.
