Warren F. Mentch, 82, of Saxonburg, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at his home.

Born March 8, 1940, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Warren F. Mentch Sr. and Dorothy Sweepe Mentch.

Warren was a graduate of Aspinwall High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1961 to 1964.

Warren worked at Pullman Standard. He retired from the Army Corps of Engineers in April 2004. He worked at every lock in Pennsylvania, which was something in which he took great pride.

Warren enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting and attending flea markets. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Surviving are his daughters, Audrea L. Slater and Michelle Palmer, both of Saxonburg; his grandchildren, Daniel Slater of Saxonburg, Rachelle Palmer of South Park, and Brysin Mentch of Lyndora; a sister, Darla Foertsch of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah L. Mentch; a son, Matthew C. Mentch; a daughter, Sonya M. Mentch; and a brother, Timothy S. Mentch.

MENTCH — Friends of Warren F. Mentch, who died Sunday, April 17, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Joe Miller officiating.

Interment with military honors will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
