George Brown

Brown

George Dillich “Dickey” Brown, 84, of Butler, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital. Dickey Brown has said goodnight, but he will continue to live forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

In our hearts, forever remembered. In our hearts, forever alive.

Dickey, in his more daring days, enjoyed being on his motorcycle, loving the freedom of the open road. Later in life, he became quite the bowler and taught the game to many others, becoming a family of bowlers. He also enjoyed golf.

In between the beginning and the end, Dickey had other hobbies, but his biggest interest was in people. Having more friends than one man can count, Dickey was always surrounded by great company. He was and always will be a terrific soul, who loved to be around the people he loved and to party on the porch.

George Dillich “Dickey” Brown retired as a lumber yard foreman for Fagen’s Lumber Company in 2001. He started in the business working at Dillich Lumber Company at an early age, then later worked at Busy Beaver Lumber Company.

Surviving is his wife, Mary E. (Carrick) Brown of Butler; two daughters and two sons, Leslie LeFebvre and her husband, Mark, of Butler, Timothy Brown and his wife, Val, of Chicora, Tracy Maroff and her husband, Simon, of Ohio, and Thomas Brown and his wife, Theresa, of Butler; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth LeFebvre, Jamie LeFebvre Hakeem, Jamie Walters, Stefanie Martin, Amber Mitchell, Fletcher Brown and Thomas Brown; four great-grandchildren; and one sister and two brothers, Sandy Rukavina of Ohio, Thomas Brown and his wife, Debbie, of New Castle, and Jerry Brown of Florida.

George was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Elise Richardson and Samantha Brown; and one brother, Elmer “Butch” Brown.

George Dillich “Dickey” Brown was more than just a person, he was also a place, where so many of us called home. Now he has been called home to Heaven, where so many have been waiting for him.
