Duffy Daugherty

Daugherty

Duffy G. Daugherty, 52, of Fombell, left this world he loved on Sunday, April 10, 2022.

Born in West View, he was the son of Daniel M. Daugherty and Ellen “Penny” Daugherty, who preceded him in death.

He changed the lives of five beautiful ladies and one little boy when he married the love of his life, Stacy Hilliard Daugherty, Oct. 9, 2021, and gained the family he had always longed for — four daughters and a perfect little grandson.

His new family instantly became his entire world. Tasks that most people found mundane were pure joy to Duffy. Taking his teenage daughters shopping or even to the dentist highlighted his day. He had a song and dance for every meal, job and event. Duffy had an unbelievable spirit and always had a smile on his face.

He was a collector of all things unique, including rakes, yard sticks, tape measures, and his favorite, an awesome “hand” collection.

Duffy was a project manager for Brennan Homes, and was the proprietor of Duffy’s Dog House in Zelienople for a number of years.

Duffy is survived by his wife, Stacy Hilliard Daugherty, of Fombell; four stepdaughters, Mackenzie Birckbichler and her fiancé, Jeffrey Hammitt, Angela Birckbichler and her fiancé, Steven Paugh, twin daughters, Leena and Lyric Ace at home; one grandson, Owen Birckbichler (the Dirty “O”) and a soon-to-be-born granddaughter, whom he proudly named “Phred”!

He also is survived by one sister, Linda Dannenmueller and her husband, Dan, of West View; two nephews, Dan and Matthew Dannenmueller; two nieces, Lindsay Farabaugh and Sara Kaylor; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and his absolute best friend, “Father Fatty” Carboni, who had the honor of performing Duffy’s wedding to Stacy.

Duffy was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Daniel G. Daugherty; and a very special aunt, Patty Schuster.

DAUGHERTY — Friends of Duffy G. Daugherty, who died Sunday, April 10, 2022, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with a celebration of life service to follow at 7 p.m. at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
