Ralph DeBacco
Ralph D. DeBacco, 89, of Bradys Bend (Roseville), died peacefully Thursday, April 7, 2022.
Born April 3, 1933, in Bradys Bend, Ralph was the son of Paul and Grace (Silverio) DeBacco.
A 1951 graduate of East Brady High School, Ralph was employed by the former Rex-Hide, Witco Chemical and Allegheny Heat Treating.
A U.S. Army veteran, Ralph served during the Korean conflict. He was awarded the National Service Defense Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the German Occupation Medal.
Ralph was a member of the American Legion Post 488 in Bradys Bend.
On Nov. 27, 1969, Ralph married Betty M. DeBacco, who preceded him in death on Feb. 3, 2008. Together they provided their family with a loving home and an example of an enduring union. For many years, Ralph and Betty enjoyed dancing, and we now find comfort in knowing they are together again, dancing for eternity.
A member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, his strong faith was evident in his devotion to daily Mass. Ralph sang in the choir, was an altar server and participated in the Young at Heart.
Ralph was also a lifetime member of the Sons of Italy 1484. He served countless meals, helped with bingo and was ever present at functions. He enjoyed cooking and every meal he made was delicious; his spaghetti recipe will never be duplicated.
Above all, Ralph found the most joy in spending time with his grandchildren and watching them grow. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, who will be deeply missed.
He is survived by one daughter, Gina Rajchel, and her husband Greg, of Butler; one son, Daniel DeBacco, and his wife Tanya, of Butler; and three grandchildren, Peyton Rajchel, Sydney Rajchel and Enzo DeBacco.
He is also survived by his three brothers, Ronald (Jane) DeBacco of Roseville, Dominic (Yvonne) DeBacco of Chicora, and Louis (Mary) DeBacco of Rimersburg; one sister, Loretta (Francis) Posey of Chicora; and a very large extended DeBacco family.
He is also survived by six sisters-in-law, Bonnie Travaglio, Sandy Buccini, Sharon Hames, Maxine Becker, Florence DeBacco and Betty DeBacco; and one brother-in-law, Tom (Bonnie) Ross.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers, John, Victor and Robert; and two sisters, Ann Andreassi and Fanny Greenawalt.
The DeBacco family would like to extend their greatest appreciation to the staff at Oertel Personal Care and Good Samaritan Hospice for their loving care of Ralph over the past 18 months. Your kindness will be remembered always.
