Walter J. Klimack, 93, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away on Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, while under the care of Windsor House at Parkside in Columbiana.

Born Feb. 2, 1928, in Harmony, he was the son of the late August Klimack and Anna Kerstein Klimack.

Walter was a retired lithographer. He was a member of the GCIU Local 24. He was the Lancaster Township auditor, and served two terms as the township’s assessor.

Walter was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Middle Lancaster, Pa., where he taught Sunday school and served as a deacon for 17 years. He was the committee secretary for Boy Scout Troop 363 for 25 years.

He will be remembered as a man of deep faith and as an adoring father and grandfather. Walter will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Walter leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Barbara J. (Dave) Echard and Patricia A. (John) Ziegler; his seven grandchildren, Dawnita Sauer, Julie Yurkovich, Edward Yurkovich, Michelle Scarrow, Melanie Pushak, Jamie Queer and Ryan Echard; his 12 great-grandchildren; his three great-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Emma (Klimack) Boedeker.

In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria June Klimack; his second wife, Wendee Klimack; his son, James B. Klimack; and five brothers and one sister.

KLIMACK — A celebration of life ceremony for Walter J. Klimack, who died Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Highway, Harmony.

Arrangements have been entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
