Rhoda Huber

Rhoda was born March 9, 1930, to Helen (Meeker) Freehling and Alvin Freehling in Cabot. She was the last leaf on her family tree.
On May 12, 1949, she married Floyd Huber in Butler, and they shared 65 years of life together until Sept. 15, 2014. They raised four children, who survive, Renee (Christopher), Michael (Lynn), Matthew (Carla) and Andrea (Russell).
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
They were blessed with nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Some of the blessings in Rhoda’s life were to be a wife and mother, and later a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother.
Rhoda graduated from Butler High School, and worked in the office until her marriage. With her children grown, she returned to the labor force, eventually retiring from Community Alliance Church in Butler.
One of Rhoda’s passions and gifts was teaching, especially teaching the Bible, which she did as often as she was able.
