Kenneth C.F. Amos Jr., better known as “Filson,” 73, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

He was born in Butler, on April 7, 1948, and was the son of the late Kenneth Amos Sr. and Eleanor (Kinder) Amos Green.

Kenneth graduated from Butler High School, Class of 1967.

Kenneth tinkered, making things all his life, and was known as “Bolts.” He was known to be extremely intelligent, interestingly eccentric and a prankster.

Kenneth was employed as a draftsman/mechanical designer.

He loved restoring cars and creating his own inventions. Kenneth was also an active member of the Coolspring Power Museum.

He was loved and will be forever missed.

Kenneth was the brother of Kay (Amos) Cree, Vee Amos (Roy) Pauli and Dennis Kim (Alesia) Amos.

He also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jay Kurtis (Diana) Amos and Amos F. (Mami) Amos.
